These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our services, including vehicle rentals and transfers throughout the Dominican Republic. By making a reservation or using our website, you agree to comply with the following terms:

1. Booking and Payments

• Reservations must be made in advance through our website or authorized communication channels.

• A valid driver’s license and passport or identification are required at the time of rental.

• Payment may be made via credit/debit card or other approved payment methods.

• Full payment or a deposit may be required to confirm the reservation.

• All prices are subject to local taxes and fees.

2. Vehicle Delivery and Return

• Vehicles are delivered and picked up at pre-agreed locations, including Punta Cana Airport, hotels, or villas.

• Customers must inspect the vehicle at delivery and report any damages immediately.

• Vehicles must be returned in the same condition in which they were delivered, with the same fuel level.

• Late returns may incur additional charges.

3. Driver Requirements

• Minimum age to rent a vehicle is 21 years.

• The driver must present a valid driver’s license with at least 1 year of driving experience.

• Only authorized drivers listed on the rental agreement may operate the vehicle.

4. Insurance and Liability

• Basic insurance is included, covering third-party liability.

• Additional insurance packages (collision damage waiver, theft protection) may be purchased.

• The customer is responsible for any damage not covered by the selected insurance or resulting from negligence.

5. Fuel Policy

• The vehicle is delivered with a specific fuel level and must be returned with the same level.

• Fuel charges may apply if the vehicle is returned with less fuel than required.

6. Cancellations and Modifications

• Cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance are eligible for a full refund.

• No-shows or last-minute cancellations may result in a partial or full charge.

• Reservation modifications are subject to availability and may affect the price.

7. Prohibited Uses

• Vehicles may not be used for racing, towing, or off-road driving.

• The use of the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.

• Transporting illegal items or participating in any illegal activities is not allowed.

8. Transfers and Private Transport Services

• All transfer services must be booked with accurate pick-up and drop-off details.

• Delays must be communicated in advance to avoid service disruptions.

• Prices vary depending on distance, type of vehicle, and number of passengers.

9. Responsibilities of the Renter

• The renter is responsible for the safety of the vehicle and passengers.

• In case of an accident, the renter must notify local authorities and Cars Punta Cana immediately.

• The renter must pay for any traffic fines or violations incurred during the rental period.

10. Limitation of Liability

Cars Punta Cana is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings during the rental or transfer period. We shall not be liable for delays or service disruptions caused by force majeure events, such as weather conditions or traffic incidents.

11. Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Dominican Republic. Any dispute arising from the use of our services shall be resolved in the competent courts of Punta Cana.
